QUILTING MACHINES

These machines - used for ultrasonic welding ( "quilting" ) and patterning - are manufactured by Taiwanian company EVER GREEN - being a leader on the field of ultrasonic technology in Asia.

Functionally they are a kind of welding machines, however temperature as working factor is there only subsidiary element - whilest ultrasonics is a main working power merging processed materials or patterning them. The main elements of the machines are:

pattern rollers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, as well as: 6, 7, 8
horns 1, 2, 3
transductors 1, 2
generators ( of ultrasonics ) 1, 2, 3, (4), (5), 6, 7

The electrical power supplied to generators is exchanged for impulses of high frequency. Next these impulses are passed over to transducers - where are exchanged to ultrasonics. The energy ( in microvibrations form ) is finally machanically forwarded to horns - which have direct contact with transfered fabric(s). The horns press down the fabric(s) to rotating above pattern roller. The chcracteristic of transmitting ultrasonic energy from horns is the higher power reception by element touching the horn's surface the higher pressure of contact is used. This is because the fabric(s) slipping on the horn's surface become patterned exclusively in the places of direct contact with pattern roller's relief. The design carved on pattern roller is being perfectly mapped on the fabric ( patterning its surface or/and welding some layers ).

The machine's construction has sectional arrangenent. Each section consists of three elements ( a set of ultrasonics ): generator, transducer and horn. The horn's width defines section's working width. The number of applyed sections determines machine's working width..

Offered machines are devices of high quality, built with high-graded parts. Their excellent efficiency ( 3-12 m/min - depending on kind of used fabric(s) and number of processed layers ) is a warranty of machine's very good profitability.

Ultrasonic quilting machines means quilting without the most problematic elements of the branch like threads, shutles, cocoons ( bobbins ) or neddles.

Quilted or patterned could be all thermoplastic fabrics ( materials ) made up in bigger part with synthetic yarn. Theoretically processed materials should be consisted in 60% or more with synthetic components.

Machine's working speed depends on several factors:

percentage of synthetic yarn in welded ( or patterned ) fabric(s). The less part of natural components - the higher working speed can be adjusted - keeping the proper welding result
thickness of "quilted" fabrics
number of processed layers ( from 1-3 normally - up to many thin layers ( e.g. interlacings ))

The machine's working speed is adjusted by user - depending on the propriety of welding. Too high working speed can reduce welding strongness or give too weak pattern. Too low - can imply fabric perforation. In most cases the machines work with working speed between 4-9 m/min. 6 m/min we can accept as standard.

The offered machines are the one ultrasonic quilting machines with applyed inverted horns arrangement ( the horns are installed on bottom side of pattern roller ) - which highly simplify access to the roller. This is because e.g. exchanging the heavy ( 200-300 kg ) pattern roller ( using installed electrical hoist ) can be made easily by one person. All of EG's machines from EGQ serie have stock installed electrical hoist to make pattern roller's exchange as easy as possible.

The ultrasonic quilting machines are manufactured on client's request and delivered with pattern roller with design prepared exactly according to client's wish. Ordered design can be choosen from enclosed catalogue suggestions, or whichever else designed by you. The main difference between standard multineedle quilting machines and ultrasonic ones is that the pattern mustn't consist of continous lines ( as squares, waves, straight lines and so on ). Here our pattern can consist of any ( not connected ) shape as description, logo, or points of size or configuration according your wish.

Normal manufacturing time is approximately 60 days from the date of receiving the prepayment. Next 30 days takes container transport to Europe ( or other places ). So the real time of delivery you should estimate as 100 days from the order time. In special cases the delivery can be some shorter.

The machines are produced in several working widths:

The machine can be powered with 3 x 110V or 3 x 220V - according to power conditions in the country it should work. Apart of this needs powering with compressed air of working pressure 5-6 atm ( 5-6 kG/cm², 5-6 bar, 0,5-0,6 MPa, 70-90 PSI ).
To eliminate breakdowns in machine's work which can be caused by some kinds of less important damages - the machines are delivered with additional complete set of ultrasonics: generator, transducer, horn.
The machines have Europian certificate of conformity CE.
